Sergio Farrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Plummer having to interfere. With a little luck, Lopezville's Keith Plummer got control of the ball when Mark Gauthier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sergio Farrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keith Plummer was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Keith Plummer came out of the goal and Mark Gauthier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Woody Rushing fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Valley City FC's protests and gave Woody Rushing a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes West Valley City FC got a freekick which was hit by Woody Rushing. Julio Bustamante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Elkins having to interfere. With his leg Josh Elkins managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Lopezville's Julio Bustamante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th minute, Sergio Farrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sergio Farrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keith Plummer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Woody Rushing went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Sergio Farrell came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the West Valley City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Farrell couldn't finish the play. Julio Bustamante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Gauthier in the 94th minute of play forced Lopezville's goalkeeper Keith Plummer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. West Valley City FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
