Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) In the 3rd minute, Rafael Kern got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Lopezville's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Kern came free, but Keith Plummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lopezville's Zack Padgett got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Anson Holloway shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keith Plummer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Tad Platt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zack Padgett's late challenge caught a Samson AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zack Padgett helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Zack Padgett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anson Holloway, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 22nd minute, Tad Platt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samson AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tad Platt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Plummer having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Alec Newby reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kirk Hearn. The goal made the score 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Rafael Kern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samson AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Kern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keith Plummer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alec Newby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Hearn having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tad Platt in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keith Plummer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tad Platt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Keith Plummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Kern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Plummer having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alec Newby made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zack Padgett in the 54th minute of play forced Samson AFC's goalkeeper Kirk Hearn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edgardo Hadley fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lopezville's protests and gave Edgardo Hadley a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lopezville getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Edgardo Hadley hit a great ball. When Samson AFC's Tad Platt in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lopezville's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd match minute, Lopezville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zack Padgett to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lopezville getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Zack Padgett hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Lopezville's goalkeeper Keith Plummer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Kern. 79 minutes into the match, Lopezville's goal looked a bit too open when Tad Platt came free, but Keith Plummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rafael Kern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zack Padgett kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tad Platt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keith Plummer was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After 88 played minutes Samson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rueben McCormick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio Bustamante in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirk Hearn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rafael Kern came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Samson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Kern couldn't finish the play. Samson AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
