If Alfonso Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Jacques Ennis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Blaine Goldsmith, passed just outside the right post. After 26 played minutes Forever FC got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Christensen. Alex Rooney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Blaine Goldsmith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Byron Smalls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey McGowan in the 31st minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Alfonso Navarro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blaine Goldsmith. Forever FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Navarro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Freddy Townsend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joshua Brower stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Brower came free, but Byron Smalls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corey McGowan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Byron Smalls made a huge save. When Alfonso Navarro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the LA Galaxy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Navarro couldn't finish the play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Shelton Grier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Forever FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rooney came free, but Blaine Goldsmith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, LA Galaxy FC's Byron Smalls got control of the ball when Corey McGowan tried to sneak it across the goal line.
