Vance Longoria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbrook FC. J.P. Shaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Messibeast's J.P. Shaw ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Barnes. David Barnes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Rick Mathis fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westbrook FC's protests and gave Rick Mathis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, one of Westbrook FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Westbrook FC. David Barnes had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Darin Lacy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Ethan Quintero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Messibeast's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westbrook FC the free kick. Ethan Quintero hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Jeffrey Goldberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vance Longoria was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Westbrook FC's David Barnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.P. Shaw in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Travis Whitaker threw the ball into play from the sideline. Westbrook FC's Sergio Arellano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 39 minutes into the match, Westbrook FC's goalkeeper David Barnes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Russ Perry. In the 42nd match minute, Messibeast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Gonzales to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Goldberg in the 44th minute of play forced Messibeast's goalkeeper Vance Longoria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jeffrey Goldberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vance Longoria having to interfere. Jeff Sylvester struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Vance Longoria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbrook FC. David Barnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.P. Shaw in the 57th minute of the match. Russ Perry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Barnes having to interfere. With his leg Vance Longoria managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Westbrook FC's Jeffrey Goldberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vance Longoria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeffrey Goldberg's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 80 minutes into the match, Messibeast's J.P. Shaw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Barnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeffrey Goldbergs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Vance Longoria to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Russ Perry came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Messibeast fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Perry couldn't finish the play.
