Fulham's Donny Galloway got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Wellston AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donny Galloway fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 24th minute Tad Hunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Bowles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernie Moses hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Tad Hunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kent Pineda hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tad Hunt to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wallace Sims in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trent Herman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trent Herman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wallace Sims, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donny Galloway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trent Herman having to interfere. Saul Waters charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saul Waters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wallace Sims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Trent Herman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donny Galloway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellston AFC's Tad Hunt got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes, Wellston AFC's Scotty Sheppard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giovanni Bowles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wellston AFC reached it. Tad Hunt didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-2 via right post in the game's 85th minute. Wellston AFC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Wellston AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
