Rosamond FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cedric Culver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Duke Whitney made the kick off in the second half. Darrel Bouchard's late challenge caught a Rosamond FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darrel Bouchard helped the player get up and apologised. Cedric Culvers short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Terry Dow to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rickie Arroyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosamond FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickie Arroyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terry Dow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
