Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jay Kirkpatrick kicked off to start the match. If Clark Gentry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clark Gentry's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Trent Herman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tad Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russell Coleman having to interfere. Russell Coleman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tad Hunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Russell Coleman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tad Hunt in the 13th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Tybee FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ned Hicks to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 14th minute Wellston AFC's Scotty Sheppard took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Russell Coleman and thus the score was 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Wellston AFC's goalkeeper Trent Herman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clark Gentry. Jay Kirkpatrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Trent Herman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Wellston AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Cuevas to maneuver through the defense. Trent Herman came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Tybee FC's Clark Gentry. But to his dismay, Clark Gentry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Trent Herman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Tad Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Russell Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Wellston AFC's Tad Hunt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Russell Coleman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Tybee FC's Ned Hicks got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Bo Pritchard kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tad Hunt in the 44th minute of play forced Tybee FC's goalkeeper Russell Coleman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Wellston AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tad Hunt made the kick off in the second half. Jay Kirkpatrick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trent Herman having to make a save. Clark Gentry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexander Lyons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clark Gentry might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trent Herman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clark Gentry ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Tybee FC's zone, Alexander Lyons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russell Coleman came out of the goal and Alexander Lyons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tad Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Russell Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellston AFC's Alexander Lyons got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tybee FC's Ned Hicks got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 96th minute, Clark Gentry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wellston AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
