Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devon Varner in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sol McElroy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Devon Varner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sol McElroy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristopher Staton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Devon Varner struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Sol McElroy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newton Falls. Parker Arroyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ramon Crane made a huge save. Ernesto Fischer kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Newton Falls's Cristopher Staton got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristopher Staton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristopher Staton to make the kick off. Oscar Paris kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Devon Varner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Cristopher Staton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TequilaSunrise AFC's Sol McElroy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save TequilaSunrise AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Newton Falls booed when TequilaSunrise AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russ Samuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newton Falls's Ramon Crane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Parker Arroyo in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Devon Varner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sol McElroy. TequilaSunrise AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Devon Varner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Parker Arroyo in the 87th minute of play forced Newton Falls's goalkeeper Ramon Crane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristopher Staton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sol McElroy having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match Felix Whitaker shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sol McElroy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Newton Falls were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing TequilaSunrise AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
