Xavier Miles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lamar Crow read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Wendell Kimbrough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mervin North having to interfere. Xavier Miles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lamar Crow made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendell Kimbrough in the 45th minute of play forced Stowe Township's goalkeeper Mervin North to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xavier Miles was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Manuel Vasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rush NM's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Vasquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mervin North breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But to his dismay, Ross Pryor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Rush NM's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
