Hector Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brant Houser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bethany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pine Crest AFC the free kick. The supporters of Pine Crest AFC booed when Bethany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Bernal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Ellison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gerald Blair tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Ellison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerald Blair having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brant Houser in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Navarro saved Pine Crest AFC from getting behind. Vito Vangs short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Gerald Blair to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pine Crest AFC's Hector Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Bocanegra in the 25th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Vito Vang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerald Blair. Bethany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Vang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gerald Blair made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vito Vang in the 41st minute. Brant Houser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hector Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Houser in the 48th minute of play forced Pine Crest AFC's goalkeeper Hector Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brant Houser was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Jefferson Sexton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bethany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Sexton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Brant Houser, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 54 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hector Navarro was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Bethany's Brant Houser in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Pine Crest AFC's Gerard Suarez got a free kick in the 70th minute. When DeAndre Banning fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pine Crest AFC's protests and gave DeAndre Banning a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, DeAndre Banning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shawn Morrison shot from long distance in the 73rd minute, but Hector Navarro was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Brant Houser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daryl Soto kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Bethany's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Ellison came free, but Gerald Blair reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierre Ellison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre Ellison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Hector Navarro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pierre Ellison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gerald Blair tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
