Vito Vang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Messer having to interfere. Darryl Messer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Ellison in the 40th minute of play. Keokuk's Freddie Spangler got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freddie Spangler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Hector Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darryl Messer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Ellison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darryl Messer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Ellison in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Freddie Spangler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Navarro. Max Flood was slow to take the kick. During this time Pine Crest AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Vito Vang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Keokuk's Darryl Messer did a great save. In the 81st minute, Pierre Ellison made a precise shot to the right of Darryl Messer. Keokuk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Freddie Spangler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keokuk's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Spangler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Pine Crest AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Keokuk had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
