Spectators: 7749 (Terracing: 5813, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ari Keys started the match with the kick off. Malibu City AFC's Will Malloy got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malibu City AFC's Merle Langford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Newsome in the 6th minute of play. After 8 played minutes BAKERBOYZ got a freekick which was hit by Jarrett Bartlett. After a rather tough play, BAKERBOYZ's Jarrett Bartlett got a free kick in the 9th minute. BAKERBOYZ's John Romo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save BAKERBOYZ from getting a goal against them. Wayne Newsome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Merle Langford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jarrett Bartlett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merle Langford was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Duane Cottrell charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duane Cottrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes BAKERBOYZ got a freekick which was hit by Duane Cottrell. With a little luck, BAKERBOYZ's John Romo got control of the ball when Will Malloy tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute Jarrett Bartlett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merle Langford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wayne Newsome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merle Langford having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Malibu City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ari Keys to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes, BAKERBOYZ's Octavio Roberts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Merle Langford came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BAKERBOYZ reached it. Wayne Newsome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merle Langford having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarrett Bartlett made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Jarrett Bartlett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Will Malloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Romo having to interfere. John Romo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Malloy in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wayne Newsome got free with Merle Langford in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led BAKERBOYZ's Octavio Roberts to fire away a dangerous shot which Merle Langford despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Malibu City AFC's Will Malloy got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Will Malloy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wayne Newsome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarrett Bartlett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merle Langford having to interfere. Merle Langford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrett Bartlett in the 84th minute of the match. Jarrett Bartlett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BAKERBOYZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
