Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edgardo Rector kicked off to start the match. Edgardo Rector received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Vince Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vince Velazquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Rector in the 9th minute of play. Vince Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Rector, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glen Ewing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgardo Rector might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Velazquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Rector ran back to his position shaking his head. Glen Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Rene Ng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Des Plaines River Rats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Klova FC the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Des Plaines River Rats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Ng to maneuver through the defense. Jarod Godwin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Klova FC's Geraldo Lott got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Klova FC's Dirk Agoos in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Des Plaines River Rats's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute Edgardo Rector shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Velazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Klova FC's goalkeeper Devin Sherrill had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lenny Monroe.

The audience was convinced that Edgardo Rector's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vince Velazquez was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 58 minutes into the game, Des Plaines River Rats's Lenny Monroe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Devin Sherrill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dirk Agoos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 93rd playminute. When the final whistle sounded Klova FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Des Plaines River Rats.
