The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirk Agoos got free with Tanner Blue in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Rodney Shafer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tanner Blue. The goal made the score 1-0. If Gordon Weston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Rector received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tanner Blue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Moss Beach FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Agoos came free, but Tanner Blue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moss Beach FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Donahue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Gordon Weston's late challenge caught a Klova FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gordon Weston helped the player get up and apologised. When Parker Bowles fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Klova FC's protests and gave Parker Bowles a yellow card for diving instead. Edgardo Rector struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tanner Blue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Klova FC. Tanner Blue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Agoos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Tanner Blue came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Klova FC's Edgardo Rector. But to his dismay, Edgardo Rector quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. There was no doubt that Klova FC were the better team. Klova FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
