Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roscoe Hughes came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Virgilio Dent could save by the left post. 3-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Roscoe Hughes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Motor City Football Club's Thomas Villanueva got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roscoe Hughes got free with Virgilio Dent in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Motor City Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Conner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The referee ignored Harmony's protests and gave Santo Laird a yellow card for diving instead.
