Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anton Stinson took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Anton Stinson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vince Velazquez. After 8 played minutes Anton Stinson rounded Des Plaines River Rats's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 14th minute Anton Stinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Velazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Rene Ng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Des Plaines River Rats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pima FC the free kick. The supporters of Pima FC booed when Des Plaines River Rats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Ng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Junior Street took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christopher Cope. Pima FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pima FC's zone, Lenny Monroe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Cope came out of the goal and Lenny Monroe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lenny Monroe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Cope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Ned Hicks hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Sylvester Cunningham sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christopher Cope skillfully saved the ball. If Anton Stinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lenny Monroe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Pima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Monroe came free, but Christopher Cope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenny Monroe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Christopher Cope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lenny Monroe was the one to do the kick off. Glen Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Des Plaines River Rats's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Anton Stinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Vince Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pima FC's Oscar Solis got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lenny Monroe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vince Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Solis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenny Monroe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Cope having to interfere. Christopher Cope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenny Monroe in the 90th minute of play.
