Zachery Noel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Vince Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Des Plaines River Rats getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jarod Godwin hit a great ball. Des Plaines River Rats's Vince Velazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Galloway in the 21st minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brant Galloway stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brant Galloway who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Vince Velazquez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vince Velazquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachery Noel in the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Des Plaines River Rats's zone, Brant Galloway stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vince Velazquez came out of the goal and Brant Galloway tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zachery Noel might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Velazquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zachery Noel ran back to his position shaking his head. If Brant Galloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
