The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Tuborg United FC booed when St Paul Trojans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanner Pittman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuborg United FC's Lane Moseley got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Groves hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Cristobal Lowry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Nickerson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Don Nickerson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jack Ritter sped through Tuborg United FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristobal Lowry. After having played for 23 minutes, Jack Ritter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Paul Trojans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Ritter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lane Moseley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Solis having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Tuborg United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ritter came free, but Cristobal Lowry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Lowry didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Don Nickerson went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In a very dangerous position, a player in St Paul Trojans fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Tuborg United FC's Carlos Groves got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Graig DeJesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, St Paul Trojans's Brendon Solis got control of the ball when Graig DeJesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Graig DeJesus took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Brendon Solis to make any attempt to save it. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Tuborg United FC's zone, Jack Ritter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Lowry came out of the goal and Jack Ritter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Don Nickerson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Cristobal Lowry skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 59 played minutes St Paul Trojans got a freekick which was hit by Rudolph Corbin. Moses Swift didn't quite understand what happened when in the 61 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ritter in the 65th minute of play forced Tuborg United FC's goalkeeper Cristobal Lowry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jack Ritter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasper Ivey's late challenge caught a Tuborg United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jasper Ivey helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to St Paul Trojans getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jasper Ivey hit a great ball. Jack Ritter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lane Moseley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Solis having to interfere. Jack Ritter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristobal Lowry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Nickerson in the 88th minute. If Jack Ritter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jack Ritter came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the St Paul Trojans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Ritter couldn't finish the play. Don Nickerson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Lowry having to interfere. Cristobal Lowry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Ritter in the 95th minute of the match.
