Derek Carver hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, El Lago's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rashad Ponce fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rashad Ponce struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Emilio Roberts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Locust Valley AFC. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sheldon Willard made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Dana Spicer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Locust Valley AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sheldon Willard 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Ramon Langston made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Matthew McCormick sent off a good shot on target. Rashad Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Emilio Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Locust Valley AFC's William McMahon in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Lago's goalie prevented a goal. William McMahon hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Rashad Ponce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Lago had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
