Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Palmer Wheeler kicked off to start the match. Jose Houser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Woodland Hills FC's Carl Carrier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robby Cummings narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Downingtown's zone, Carl Carrier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robby Cummings came out of the goal and Carl Carrier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Daren Avila fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Downingtown's protests and gave Daren Avila a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Downingtown got a freekick which was hit by Daren Avila. Woodland Hills FC's Carl Carrier got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrick Frederick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes Woodland Hills FC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Dickinson. After 43 minutes Woodland Hills FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugh McCollum who took care of the corner kick. Downingtown's Enoch Guinn was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Otto Ragsdale in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rodrick Frederick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Otto Ragsdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Houser made a kick off. Robby Cummings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Houser in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jose Houser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodland Hills FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Houser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Woodland Hills FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Downingtown the free kick. The supporters of Downingtown booed when Woodland Hills FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Dickinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Woodland Hills FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
