The Newburyport FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nathaniel Broussard should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Newburyport FC's goalkeeper Nathaniel Broussard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Cates. After a rather tough play, Centurions FC's Juan Cates got a free kick in the 15th minute. Nathaniel Broussard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Sawyer in the 18th minute. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Juan Cates got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kurt Sawyer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nathaniel Broussard having to make a save. If Will Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathaniel Broussard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Cates in the 35th minute. Newburyport FC's Scot Pope got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Centurions FC's Sid Lester got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Cates was the one to do the kick off. After 54th play minutes Juan Cates shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Nathaniel Broussard and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Kurt Sawyer put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nathaniel Broussard. A collision led to Centurions FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Will Sharpe hit a great ball. Kurt Sawyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Will Sharpe struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Nathaniel Broussard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centurions FC. In the 66th minute, Scot Pope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Cates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Newburyport FC defense, Kurt Sawyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nathaniel Broussard. The Newburyport FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nathaniel Broussard should have stopped the shot. Nathaniel Broussard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Cates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Cates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nathaniel Broussard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juan Cates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathaniel Broussard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Cates in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Centurions FC fully deserved thier win.
