Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, ShoTek UTD's Luther Rowland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Shannon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SL FIRES's Ricardo Shannon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save SL FIRES from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rory Carrington during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Rory Carrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cameron Harman hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Alvin Dickinson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Shannon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luther Rowland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ricardo Shannon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leroy Daugherty in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Shannon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in SL FIRES's zone, Leroy Daugherty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Shannon came out of the goal and Leroy Daugherty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leroy Daugherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Shannon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Sonny Coppack managed to get in a good position for a shot. ShoTek UTD's supporters rose to their feet, but Sonny Coppack was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Shannon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Shannon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leroy Daugherty in the 40th minute. Derick Moon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasey Blake in the 43rd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Luther Rowland made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Blake Oakley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kasey Blake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the ShoTek UTD defense, Blake Oakley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derick Moon. The ShoTek UTD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derick Moon should have stopped the shot. After 74th play minutes Kasey Blake shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Derick Moon and just under the crossbar into goal.
