If Taylor London had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Oyster Bay Cove's Alonso Owen got a free kick in the 8th minute. The attack was good, but when Bryan Dickinson in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Alec Mann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Doty, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Taylor London received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jarod Heath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dennis Harper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oyster Bay Cove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REFTS the free kick. In the 34th minute Dennis Harper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Doty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Doty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Oyster Bay Cove's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Dickinson came free, but Jarod Heath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bryan Dickinson was the one to do the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, REFTS's Taylor London sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarod Heath narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Taylor London received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jarod Heath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryan Dickinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Dennis Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oyster Bay Cove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Harper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78th play minutes Taylor London shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jarod Heath and just under the crossbar into goal. Jarod Heath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Dickinson in the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Benjamin Doty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The REFTS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Oyster Bay Cove had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
