Scott Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Kane in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Fishers defense, Casey Kendall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Scott Gallo. The Fishers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Scott Gallo should have stopped the shot. Fishers's Scott Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Kane in the 24th minute of play. Pierre Aaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro McDaniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Scott Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Kane in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Fishers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Carpenter to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Kane in the 31st minute of play forced Fishers's goalkeeper Scott Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fishers's zone, Casey Kendall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scott Gallo came out of the goal and Casey Kendall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fishers's Isidro McDaniel got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lonnie Pham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Pierre Aaron made a huge save. Scott Gallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Kendall, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Rohnert's Christopher Kane got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christopher Kane was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Casey Kendall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rohnert's supporters rose to their feet, but Casey Kendall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scott Gallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Light during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Fishers got a freekick which was hit by Eric Light. Casey Kendall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casey Kendall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Scott Gallo made a huge save. After having played for 64 minutes, Casey Kendall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rohnert's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Kendall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milton Milligan charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milton Milligan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Rohnert was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milton Milligan to maneuver through the defense. Isidro McDaniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute Florian Henderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
