Tracy Hopkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrel Whalen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Gerald Mock managed to get in a good position for a shot. PRAIA GRANDE S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Mock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darrel Whalen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gerald Mock came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the PRAIA GRANDE S.C fans jumped to their feet.
