A collision led to Nicollet FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Quinton Grubb hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Bledsoe in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusebio Ruff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Freddy Thomason notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RedArmyFC's Daren Farr. Daren Farr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicollet FC's Eusebio Ruff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Bledsoe in the 35th minute of play. Hugh Chen in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eusebio Ruff, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Edgar Bledsoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Bledsoe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Nicollet FC's zone, Edgar Bledsoe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Ruff came out of the goal and Edgar Bledsoe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Hugh Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Ruff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of RedArmyFC booed when Nicollet FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubin Cavazos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Hugh Chen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nicollet FC's Eusebio Ruff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rene Stroud's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Daren Farr skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ari Hinton during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, RedArmyFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ari Hinton to maneuver through the defense. If Hugh Chen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Stroud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daren Farr having to interfere. The RedArmyFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nicollet FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nicollet FC.
