In the 12th minute, Melvin French left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defiance FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thad Britton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zane Horner in the 15th minute of play. Stanley Goldstein was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. Zane Horner took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thad Britton. Thad Britton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of Kabuto booed when Defiance FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin French didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Tidwell in the 29th minute of play forced Defiance FC's goalkeeper Thad Britton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gary Chappelle struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Bradly Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defiance FC. Gary Chappelle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bradly Kennedy came out and tried to block the shot, but Gary Chappelle slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Defiance FC's Thad Britton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zane Horner in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Roscoe Gipson notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Defiance FC's Thad Britton. Thad Britton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thad Britton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jayson Craig in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match, Werner Tidwell got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thad Britton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Elvis Magee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bradly Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gary Chappelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis Magee in the 77th minute of play forced Kabuto's goalkeeper Bradly Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Elvis Magee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradly Kennedy was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. 83 minutes into the match, Defiance FC's goalkeeper Thad Britton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Werner Tidwell. In the 86th match minute, Defiance FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Foreman to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Kabuto's Scot Read broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience held their breath when Gary Chappelle in the 91st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Bradly Kennedy's left hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gary Chappelle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defiance FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gary Chappelle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradly Kennedy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the game, Melvin French cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Bradly Kennedy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Defiance FC were the better team. Defiance FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
