The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Denver Pringle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Garth Bush came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Citizens FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Bush couldn't finish the play. Felix Wells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradly Kennedy having to interfere. Bradly Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Garth Bush sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Kabuto's Raphael Dooley got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Bradly Kennedy acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bryan Davenport. Citizens FC's Felix Wells got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Garth Bush's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bradly Kennedy was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. If Felix Wells had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Wells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bradly Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Citizens FC got a freekick which was hit by Bennett Stroud. Felix Wells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jayson Craig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miles Madrid read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Citizens FC's Porter Tobin got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Felix Wells had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Garth Bush had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradly Kennedy. Kabuto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garth Bush was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Garth Bush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Wells struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Bradly Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Citizens FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Bush in the 84th minute of play forced Kabuto's goalkeeper Bradly Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Wells had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Citizens FC were the better team. Citizens FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
