Raphael Kerr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Wilkins in the 33rd minute of the match. If Charlie Wilkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Charlie Wilkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pennington Gap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Wilkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pennington Gap's zone, Gavin Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Willingham came out of the goal and Gavin Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavin Garcia to make the kick off. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Crystal's goalkeeper Raphael Kerr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santiago Willingham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Garcia in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Sterling Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Crystal's supporters rose to their feet, but Sterling Abel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Willingham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 minutes, Tyron Hayes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pennington Gap and the Blue Crystal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pennington Gap getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Tyron Hayes hit a great ball. Shaun Starkey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Blue Crystal's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Wilkins came free, but Raphael Kerr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charlie Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Raphael Kerr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
