After a rather tough play, Port Vale F.C.'s DeAndre Hamby got a free kick in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers C.J. Felix in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garth Yeager saved Almafuerte from getting behind. Garth Yeager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Salas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.J. Felix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Russell Lawler hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, C.J. Felix notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Almafuerte's Garth Yeager. Garth Yeager was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. C.J. Felix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Russell Lawler hit a great ball. Garth Yeager came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Port Vale F.C.'s Joshua Salas. But to his dismay, Joshua Salas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. C.J. Felix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Garth Yeager having to make a save. C.J. Felix took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garth Yeager. Garth Yeager dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 41st minute, Nolan Odell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almafuerte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Garth Yeager showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Salas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes of play Almafuerte's Russell Lawler was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Port Vale F.C. booed when Almafuerte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russell Lawler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Almafuerte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brady Manuel was slow to take the kick. During this time Port Vale F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Tod Hall made a great header on Port Vale F.C.'s corner, it was just that Almafuerte's Garth Yeager managed to reach the ball for a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joshua Salas was the one to do the kick off. Port Vale F.C.'s Joshua Salas got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C.J. Felix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Garth Yeager made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Almafuerte's zone, Joshua Salas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garth Yeager came out of the goal and Joshua Salas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Brady Manuel fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Port Vale F.C.'s protests and gave Brady Manuel a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Port Vale F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Almafuerte a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filiberto Uribe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Port Vale F.C.'s Domenico Sousa. 2-3. 79 minutes into the match, Almafuerte's goalkeeper Garth Yeager had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by C.J. Felix. If C.J. Felix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Salas in the 82nd minute of play forced Almafuerte's goalkeeper Garth Yeager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almafuerte's Garth Yeager proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Almafuerte from getting a goal against them. When Joshua Salas came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Port Vale F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Salas couldn't finish the play. Garth Yeager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Salas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97thth minute of the game C.J. Felix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almafuerte's Garth Yeager was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Port Vale F.C. played a much better game than Almafuerte and deserved their victory. The Almafuerte players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
