Wilson Ledford showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Norman Benoit managed to get in a good position for a shot. ACP United's supporters rose to their feet, but Norman Benoit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tracy McHugh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Kalamazoo Kazoos. Ed Delgado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustavo Herget. 2-1. Gustavo Herget showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Woodson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
