Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guy Mobley started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Mervin Regan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bellingham Dolphins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mervin Regan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Matthews took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Singletary, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-1 became the score in the 11th minute when Geoffrey Raymond elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bellingham Dolphins's zone, Darryl Singletary stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Matthews came out of the goal and Darryl Singletary tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Captain America getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ron Guidry hit a great ball. Guy Mobley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hayden Honeycutt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mervin Regan in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Darryl Singletary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Matthews saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Captain America booed when Bellingham Dolphins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Oakley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darryl Singletary in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Matthews prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andre Matthews took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffrey Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Bellingham Dolphins's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Singletary came free, but Andre Matthews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Guy Mobley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geoffrey Raymond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Andre Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geoffrey Raymond was the one to do the kick off. Andre Matthews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoffrey Raymond, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 53rd minute, Geoffrey Raymond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andre Matthews was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Geoffrey Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Ron Guidry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Captain America's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bellingham Dolphins the free kick. Hayden Honeycutt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mervin Regan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hayden Honeycutt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Mobley, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 64th minute, Brice Dunn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Singletary got free with Andre Matthews in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Geoffrey Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ron Guidry was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. Ron Guidry kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Bellingham Dolphins's Napoleon Lloyd couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Captain America. Darryl Singletarys short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Andre Matthews to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Darryl Singletary's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andre Matthews firmly grabbed it by the left post. Darryl Singletary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Matthews having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Captain America walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
