Edmundo Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Matthews having to interfere. With a little luck, Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford got control of the ball when Mervin Regan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Old Bethpage's goalkeeper Rufus Ford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mervin Regan. Rufus Ford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mervin Regan in the 66th minute. Old Bethpage's Edmundo Dominguez got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rufus Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Mobley, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. With an all-out effort, Bellingham Dolphins's Rufus Ford threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guy Mobley, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bellingham Dolphins's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
