The referee ignored Old Bethpage's protests and gave Osvaldo Barger a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Old Bethpage booed when Rosa Melano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufus Ford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurice Gillespie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Junior Barnard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Ford having to interfere. Rufus Ford came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosa Melano's Maurice Gillespie. But to his dismay, Maurice Gillespie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edmundo Dominguez might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Coffman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Dominguez ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Junior Barnard during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Barnard in the 32nd minute of play forced Old Bethpage's goalkeeper Rufus Ford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Junior Barnard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Quentin Dupree fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosa Melano's protests and gave Quentin Dupree a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Quentin Dupree hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pablo Galloway during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Old Bethpage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Galloway to maneuver through the defense. The Old Bethpage players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rosa Melano were winning 0-1.

54 minutes into the match, Old Bethpage's goalkeeper Rufus Ford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Junior Barnard. Rufus Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Gillespie in the 60th minute of play. Junior Barnard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Rufus Ford when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Old Bethpage getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Osvaldo Barger hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Old Bethpage's zone, Junior Barnard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Ford came out of the goal and Junior Barnard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Old Bethpage's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Gillespie came free, but Rufus Ford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Junior Barnard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rufus Ford. Old Bethpage's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Junior Barnard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Maurice Gillespie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosa Melano's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurice Gillespie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rufus Ford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Junior Barnard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rufus Ford was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford got control of the ball when Tyson Strange tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osvaldo Barger was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Old Bethpage getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Osvaldo Barger hit a great ball. Rufus Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Gillespie in the 86th minute of play. Junior Barnard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Ford having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Maurice Gillespie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosa Melano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Gillespie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Old Bethpage's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Gillespie came free, but Rufus Ford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Rosa Melano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Old Bethpage.
