The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. King Waite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tory Blue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, SJ Earthquakes's Salvatore Rucker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 8th minute, King Waite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marvin Lentz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgil Sizemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dexter Biggs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marvin Lentz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dexter Biggs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marvin Lentz got free with Dexter Biggs in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Virgil Sizemore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dexter Biggs having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Macalin S.A.D was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Corey to maneuver through the defense. If Salvatore Rucker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Virgil Sizemore managed to get in a good position for a shot. SJ Earthquakes's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgil Sizemore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dexter Biggs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dexter Biggs was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Johnathon Case capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Johnathon Case really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 39th minute, Johnathon Case hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Virgil Sizemore made the kick off in the second half. Salvatore Rucker struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Dexter Biggs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SJ Earthquakes. SJ Earthquakes's Tory Blue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Lawler in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, SJ Earthquakes's goal looked a bit too open when Dustin Cummins came free, but Tory Blue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind SJ Earthquakes's goalkeeper Tory Blue, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match Macalin S.A.D got a corner. SJ Earthquakes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonard Corey ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leonard Corey made a great header on Macalin S.A.D's corner, it was just that SJ Earthquakes's Tory Blue managed to reach the ball for a save. Dustin Cummins kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Marvin Lentz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dexter Biggs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donny Lawler charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 76 minutes, Marvin Lentz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SJ Earthquakes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marvin Lentz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgil Sizemore struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Dexter Biggs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SJ Earthquakes. SJ Earthquakes's Johnathon Case got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SJ Earthquakes's German Carson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, SJ Earthquakes's German Carson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dexter Biggs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Virgil Sizemore came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the SJ Earthquakes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgil Sizemore couldn't finish the play. Johnathon Case fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dexter Biggs having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the SJ Earthquakes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
