Spectators: 7668 (Terracing: 5751, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 153) East Moline's Bill Romo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11thth minute of the game Thaddeus Sheldon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Moline's Monty Flores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thaddeus Sheldon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Xeneize FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Whitney Esquivel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Monty Flores made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Thaddeus Sheldon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Monty Flores to make any attempt to save it. In the 19th minute, Lenny Burnham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Alfaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Jeffrey Jeffries could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Monty Flores however easily saved by the left post. Whitney Esquivel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monty Flores having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Thaddeus Sheldon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Monty Flores. Thaddeus Sheldon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Lenny Burnham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sonny Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Xeneize FC booed when East Moline was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thaddeus Sheldon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Monty Flores came out and tried to block the shot, but Thaddeus Sheldon slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 39th minute. Bill Romo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Monty Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffrey Jeffries in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

59 minutes into the match, East Moline's goal looked a bit too open when Whitney Esquivel came free, but Monty Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of East Moline:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Xeneize FC:s goal. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Xeneize FC. Pat Sheppard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Monty Flores. 4-1. In the 64th minute, Wallace Robbins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeffrey Jeffries kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Lenny Burnham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Alfaro having to interfere. Sonny Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Romo in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Bill Romo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sonny Alfaro. The goal made the score 4-2. After a defensive mix-up in East Moline's zone, Thaddeus Sheldon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Monty Flores came out of the goal and Thaddeus Sheldon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sonny Alfaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lenny Burnham went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Haskins during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes East Moline got a freekick which was hit by Charles Haskins. East Moline's Bill Romo got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xeneize FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of East Moline for a fine match.
