In the 5th minute Wally Schumacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jennings AFC's Sean Connelly got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of Jennings AFC booed when Cliffwood Beach FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Bearden didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Brant Myers put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Matt Nash. In the 34th minute Jerold Warner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matt Nash saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wally Schumacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Wally Schumacher reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jake Hong. The goal made the score 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brant Myers to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Abdul Sierra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 played minutes Cliffwood Beach FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Ramirez. Gerardo Scruggs was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alan Ramirez was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Cliffwood Beach FC's Alan Ramirez got a free kick in the 70th minute. Jake Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Baxter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 74 minutes, Wally Schumacher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jennings AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wally Schumacher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wally Schumacher took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jake Hong. Jake Hong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally Schumacher in the 86th minute of play forced Cliffwood Beach FC's goalkeeper Jake Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
