Dalton Smiley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Carter having to interfere. Colin Garrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Carter having to interfere. Colin Garrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Esteban Carter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dogs FC defense, Dalton Smiley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban Carter. The Dogs FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban Carter should have stopped the shot. Esteban Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalton Smiley in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dogs FC's goalkeeper Esteban Carter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Lahore Lions's Jarrett Driver got control of the ball when Marc Mathis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerold Cage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lahore Lions's Jarrett Driver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Lahore Lions from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalton Smiley to make the kick off. Lahore Lions's Colin Garrison got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 60 minutes, Thomas Archer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dogs FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Archer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Dogs FC's Esteban Carter got control of the ball when Colin Garrison tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Colin Garrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lahore Lions's Colin Garrison got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josef Gilbert's late challenge caught a Lahore Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Gilbert helped the player get up and apologised. Josef Gilbert hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes, Dalton Smiley made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Dogs FC's Esteban Carter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Dogs FC booed when Lahore Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Covington didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute Thomas Archer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Driver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marc Mathis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elliott Cameron kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
