After having played for 3 minutes, Dan Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosemont FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to The Wick Team getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Vaughn Bateman hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Trent Stroh sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and The Wick Team's Alexander Hutchison didn't even have to move. After 9 played minutes The Wick Team got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Armstrong. Dan Rosas short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Alexander Hutchison to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 19 played minutes The Wick Team got a freekick which was hit by Vaughn Bateman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Thorpe in the 21st minute of play forced Rosemont FC's goalkeeper Spencer Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Gates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Rosa struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Alexander Hutchison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosemont FC. Jeff Thorpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Spencer Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeff Thorpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zane Nixon in the 32nd minute of play forced The Wick Team's goalkeeper Alexander Hutchison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spencer Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Thorpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Dan Rosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexander Hutchison, 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Rosemont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Gates came free, but Spencer Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Rosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Hutchison having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 61 minutes, Zane Nixon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 64 played minutes Rosemont FC got a freekick which was hit by Trent Stroh. The Wick Team's Alexander Hutchison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zane Nixon in the 68th minute of play. When Danny Gates came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the The Wick Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Gates couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Rosemont FC's goalkeeper Spencer Nicholas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Gates. Spencer Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Thorpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Hutchison stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dan Rosa's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Spencer Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Thorpe in the 96th minute of play.
