Sterling House showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Pendleton in the 4th minute of the match. A collision led to Houston Rockets getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ivan Kerns hit a great ball. Sterling House came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Detroit Lakes's Abraham Pendleton. But to his dismay, Abraham Pendleton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Detroit Lakes's Grady Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troy Mitchell in the 12th minute of play. Grady Kelly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Troy Mitchell in the 13th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Bennett Phillips managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Houston Rockets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bennett Phillips was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Houston Rockets's Sterling House played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Pendleton in the 17th minute of play. If Bennett Phillips had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Detroit Lakes getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Tracey Zimmer hit a great ball. Detroit Lakes's Grady Kelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Detroit Lakes from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Tony Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Randy Gallardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Detroit Lakes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randy Gallardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Houston Rockets's Sterling House played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Pendleton in the 27th minute of play. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Abraham Pendleton sped through Houston Rockets's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sterling House. Grady Kelly made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Troy Mitchell sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Grady Kelly managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Houston Rockets's Troy Mitchell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 36 in the game by Troy Mitchell from a close distance when the talented Grady Kelly managed to make a qualified save. Detroit Lakes's players were relieved. Detroit Lakes's Jefferson Russo suffered a sore thigh after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 38 minutes, Ivan Kerns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Houston Rockets and the Detroit Lakes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute, Ivan Kerns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the match Ernest Trevino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sterling House skillfully saved the ball. Darnell Funk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sterling House tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Detroit Lakes's Grady Kelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Detroit Lakes from getting a goal against them. In the 47thth minute of the game Abraham Pendleton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Houston Rockets's Sterling House was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abraham Pendleton to make the kick off. If Darnell Funk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes in the game Walter Sewell did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lenny Lehman. 56 minutes into the game, Elijah Bowers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sterling House. Elijah Bowers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Sewell during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, one of Houston Rockets:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Houston Rockets. Ernest Trevino kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 69 minutes, Tracey Zimmer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Detroit Lakes and the Houston Rockets players grew even worse after the yellow card. Detroit Lakes's Grady Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennett Phillips in the 73rd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play Detroit Lakes's Tracey Zimmer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Houston Rockets booed when Detroit Lakes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tracey Zimmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sterling House made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elijah Bowers in the 78th minute of play. Grady Kelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bennett Phillips, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Detroit Lakes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
