After a rather tough play, Future Kings's Lewis Childs got a free kick in the 6th minute. Mitchell Rutledge struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Hans Trevino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Starkville. Hans Trevino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mitchell Rutledge went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. William Dotson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Hans Trevino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans Trevino made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Mitchell Rutledge sent off a good shot on target. German Hodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Corey Uster fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Starkville's protests and gave Corey Uster a yellow card for diving instead. Titus Peoples made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro McManus in the 22nd minute of play. Hans Trevino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Dotson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, William Dotson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Starkville's supporters rose to their feet, but William Dotson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Trevino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. William Dotson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Future Kings's Lewis Childs got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro McManus to make the kick off. Hans Trevino came out of the goal and William Dotson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mitchell Rutledge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Hodge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titus Peoples having to interfere. Starkville's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Genaro McManus 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Titus Peoples prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cole Arias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Titus Peoples. Starkville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Starkville's Corey Uster got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Corey Uster off the ground. In the 92nd match minute, Starkville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corey Uster to maneuver through the defense. After 93 minutes, Genaro McManus made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Starkville's Titus Peoples tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Future Kings walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
