Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abraham Pendleton took the kick off in the first half of the match. William Dotson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grady Kelly having to make a save. Randy Gallardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 7 played minutes Starkville got a freekick which was hit by Wilber Silver. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randy Gallardo in the 8th minute of play forced Starkville's goalkeeper Titus Peoples to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Starkville getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Corey Uster hit a great ball. Titus Peoples made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elijah Bowers in the 10th minute of play. Abraham Pendleton took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Titus Peoples. Titus Peoples dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Detroit Lakes's Ernest Trevino got a free kick in the 13th minute. Grady Kelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Uster in the 16th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Starkville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abraham Pendleton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abraham Pendleton was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Detroit Lakes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 28 minutes into the game, Detroit Lakes's Jefferson Russo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Titus Peoples made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Abraham Pendleton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Titus Peoples came out and tried to block the shot, but Abraham Pendleton slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 31st minute. Jefferson Russo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titus Peoples having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Abraham Pendleton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Titus Peoples was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 44 played minutes Detroit Lakes got a freekick which was hit by Tracey Zimmer. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit Lakes's zone, William Dotson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grady Kelly came out of the goal and William Dotson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When Detroit Lakes's Abraham Pendleton in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Starkville's goalie prevented a goal. Grady Kelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Dotson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored Detroit Lakes's protests and gave Tracey Zimmer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Detroit Lakes's Tracey Zimmer got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 59 played minutes Detroit Lakes got a freekick which was hit by Kirby Hastings. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaun Nance in the 61st minute of play forced Detroit Lakes's goalkeeper Grady Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abraham Pendleton fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 68 played minutes Starkville got a freekick which was hit by Corey Uster. In the 74th minute, Abraham Pendleton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes, Abraham Pendleton made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Starkville's Titus Peoples tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Jefferson Russo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Titus Peoples showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Trevino in the 82nd minute of the match. Jefferson Russo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Abraham Pendleton sped through Starkville's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Titus Peoples.
