In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Citizen Fc's goalkeeper Roland Corey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arturo Farr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duane Joyce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Farr in the 17th minute of play forced HTX ASTRO's goalkeeper Duane Joyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caleb Lowry's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roland Corey firmly grabbed it by the left post. Roland Corey made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Caleb Lowry sent off a good shot on target. Caleb Lowry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Roland Corey made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caleb Lowry got free with Roland Corey in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Duane Joyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monte Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Arroyo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Arturo Farr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Duane Joyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Citizen Fc's zone, Joe Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Corey came out of the goal and Joe Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caleb Lowry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sung Fox during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Citizen Fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HTX ASTRO:s goal. The referee gave HTX ASTRO a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bronson Gordon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Citizen Fc's Roland Corey. 2-0. HTX ASTRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joe Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the HTX ASTRO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
