Rhett Kiser in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Duane Joyce, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caleb Lowry in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dustin Rojas saved INTER MIAMI CF from getting behind. Rhett Kiser's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Duane Joyce skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Scott McMullen during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The HTX ASTRO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HTX ASTRO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
