He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Citizen Fc reached it. In the 30th minute Monte Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny MacDowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calvin Shook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Corey having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Shook in the 34th minute of play forced Citizen Fc's goalkeeper Roland Corey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Cross City's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Farr came free, but Lenny MacDowell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenny MacDowell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monte Lawrence in the 38th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Jamal Pruett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 53rd minute Levi Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny MacDowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arturo Farr came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Citizen Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Farr couldn't finish the play. Roland Corey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Shook in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cross City's zone, Armando Schaefer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenny MacDowell came out of the goal and Armando Schaefer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monte Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Lenny MacDowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Citizen Fc's Roland Corey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Shook in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Citizen Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sung Fox to maneuver through the defense. Val Dobson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roland Corey. Citizen Fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armando Schaefer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lenny MacDowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monte Lawrence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Monte Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot. Citizen Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Monte Lawrence was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenny MacDowell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
