In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTER MIAMI CF's goalkeeper Dustin Rojas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Atkins to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bradley Curran fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Wallingford AFC's zone, Rhett Kiser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scotty Gary came out of the goal and Rhett Kiser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Gee kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. If Rhett Kiser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathanial Shipp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Scotty Gary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rhett Kiser in the 86th minute. When Porter Spears came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Wallingford AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Porter Spears couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Fernando Atkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wallingford AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Atkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nathanial Shipp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wallingford AFC's Scotty Gary proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Wallingford AFC from getting a goal against them.
