Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Erickson started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Cope got free with Darrel Manning in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Brekanov's Dustin Carey got a free kick in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lanny Ruiz during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Erickson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darrel Manning having to make a save. In the 20th match minute, Brekanov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dustin Carey to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Lemont FC's Bryant Stringer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alan Burkhart charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Burkhart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Brekanov getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alan Burkhart hit a great ball. Sonny Mayfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Coffman in the 35th minute of play. Woody Aguilar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Mayfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. During the 42nd minute of the match Lanny Ruiz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lanny Ruiz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 43rd minute, Lanny Ruiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lemont FC:s Sonny Mayfield showed great skill when he stopped Benito Bond:s penalty. Sonny Mayfield came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Brekanov's Benito Bond. But to his dismay, Benito Bond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bart Coffman to strike the kick off in the second half. Sonny Mayfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Coffman in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Brekanov's Bart Coffman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Ivan Erickson's late challenge caught a Brekanov's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Erickson helped the player get up and apologised. Ivan Erickson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Benito Bond shot from long distance in the 68th minute, but Sonny Mayfield was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Bart Coffman came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Brekanov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Coffman couldn't finish the play. After 76 played minutes Lemont FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Erickson. Brent Krueger charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Brent Krueger hit a great ball. Brekanov's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benito Bond in the 83rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Bart Coffman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 88 minutes of play Lemont FC's Brent Krueger was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Lemont FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Brent Krueger hit a great ball. The Brekanov players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
