The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, CYCLONES FC's Nathaniel Swenson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in CYCLONES FC's zone, Phillip Braxton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ken Winston came out of the goal and Phillip Braxton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to CYCLONES FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Milan Guzman hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milan Guzman in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darren Tidwell saved Cloquet from getting behind. The supporters of Cloquet booed when CYCLONES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathaniel Swenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Sykes, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Lester to make the kick off. 61 minutes in the game, Julian Lester fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ken Winston having to interfere. Darren Tidwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Mathews in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milan Guzman in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darren Tidwell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Julian Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cloquet booed when CYCLONES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelly Kyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milan Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shelton Lyons kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. CYCLONES FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
