If Laurence Corbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Rocky Vinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cypress Gardens FC's Nick Rudolph couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Roseburg City Football. After having played for 12 minutes, Werner Weldon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roseburg City Football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Werner Weldon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genaro Talley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Lusk having to make a save. After 14 minutes of play, Roseburg City Football's Werner Weldon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelson Lusk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Derrick Knutson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wallace Tharp in the 18th minute of play. Derrick Knutson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scottie Yeager in the 20th minute. 1-1 became the score in the 24th minute when Wallace Tharp elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Scottie Yeager managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cypress Gardens FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Scottie Yeager was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derrick Knutson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Von Chapman during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Von Chapman kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Wallace Tharp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derrick Knutson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Roseburg City Football's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Scottie Yeager fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 36 minutes, Scottie Yeager managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cypress Gardens FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scottie Yeager was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rocky Vinson might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson Lusk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rocky Vinson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute, Werner Weldon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roseburg City Football fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Werner Weldon took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson Lusk. Nelson Lusk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wallace Tharp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Roseburg City Football getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rocky Vinson hit a great ball. Scottie Yeager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick Knutson having to interfere. Derrick Knutson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wallace Tharp's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cypress Gardens FC's goalkeeper Nelson Lusk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Derrick Knutson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scottie Yeager, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Cypress Gardens FC's goalkeeper Nelson Lusk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Werner Weldon. A collision led to Roseburg City Football getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Preston Baird hit a great ball. Nick Rudolph took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Derrick Knutson. Roseburg City Football's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jerry Yost, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Genaro Talley came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Roseburg City Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Talley couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes, Cypress Gardens FC's Nick Rudolph shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Derrick Knutson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cypress Gardens FC reached it. The supporters of Roseburg City Football booed when Cypress Gardens FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rashad Albright didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Lusk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Werner Weldon in the 92nd minute. Genaro Talley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Roseburg City Football players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
