The crowd rose to their feet as Texas Cavaliers's Scott Gutierrez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sonny Mayfield. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Denver Baird made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Erickson in the 39th minute of play. When Franklin Reeves came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Texas Cavaliers fans jumped to their feet. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lemont FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Texas Cavaliers.
